"Photography can only represent the present.Once photographed, the subject becomes part of the past."

Focus: The focus in the image is the railings as light is shining through them. Also the lights appear to be the clearest and the sharpest on the photograph. The room numbers and the students in the classroom look out of focus. Additionally the metals that are holding the lights camouflage into the background.
Light:I would have to say the writing is the most highlighted part of the photograph. In the photograph no shadows can be seen. From the image you can guess the time because from the class you can see the outside and the light coming in.The light is both artificial and natural.
Line: There are many straight lines as well as geometric shapes in the picture. It makes the picture look ordered and it also shows direction.
Repetition: The stairs create a constant dark pattern as well as the large geometric, rectangular windows in the center lined up diagonally. All of the patterns in the photo are symmetrical.
Shape: Rectangular geometric shapes are all around the picture with no organic shapes for example thin rectangles as stairs.
Space: The photo has quite a lot of depth as the windows and ceiling cave in. The dark and light tone also give the photo depth as it makes some shapes stand out from the rest.
Texture: The photo looks smooth and hard because of all the structured shapes and straight lines which also makes it look sharp.
Value: There are many dark and light tones. The darkest value is the stairs at the bottom, whereas the lightest value is the large windows at the top of the picture. This makes the viewer's attention get drawn to the top.
